The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien has continued his mobile office visits across the electorate, meeting with residents in towns right across Gippsland South to discuss local issues and priorities.
Most recently Mr O’Brien has held meetings in communities including Leongatha, Loch Sport, Golden Beach, Toongabbie and Mirboo, as well as several towns in between.
Mr O’Brien said the visits were an important way to stay connected with locals and hear directly about the challenges they are facing.
“These visits give people the chance to raise issues one-on-one and make sure their concerns are being heard,” Mr O’Brien said.
“During these meetings people are talking to me about the impact of cost-of-living pressures, the condition of local roads, ongoing power reliability issues and the need for stronger support for farmers and small businesses.”
Mr O’Brien said it was also encouraging to see the strong sense of community throughout the electorate.
“A real highlight was stopping in at the Boolarra General Store, where I received a surprise bunch of flowers from 10-year-old Anya while meeting with her parents, Kalpana and Sunil, who run the store.
“It’s those personal moments that reflect what makes Gippsland South such a great place to live and work.”
Mr O’Brien said he would continue to take the issues raised with him back to Parliament.
“I will keep advocating strongly for our communities and pushing the Allan Labor Government to deliver the services and infrastructure Gippsland South deserves.”
