Members Statement – Leongatha and District Netball Association

Mr D O’BRIEN: Congratulations to Leongatha and District Netball Association on the opening of their redeveloped courts last weekend. It was a pleasure to attend the event along with the seven life members of the LDNA, many of whom played a critical role in lobbying for funds from state, federal and local governments as well as raising an incredible amount of money themselves. The state government funding was great, and I would like to see more of it. In particular I will continue to lobby for a new gymnasium and basketball stadium at Mirboo North as the current joint facility at the school is in dire need of replacement.
