The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien is encouraging local students to get involved in the 2025 Parliament Prize competition, which gives young Victorians the chance to share their views on the issues that matter to them most.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Gippsland South students to speak directly to Parliament as if they were an MP and highlight what’s important to them in their community,” Mr O’Brien said.
Now in its ninth year, the annual Parliament Prize invites Victorian students to submit a 90-second Member’s Statement video answering the question: What would you say to Parliament if you were an MP?
The competition is open to students in three categories: Grades 5 and 6, Years 7-9 and Years 10-12. Cash prizes are awarded to both students and their schools.
Mr O’Brien said he strongly encourages students, teachers and parents across Gippsland South to get involved and showcase the voices of our next generation of leaders.
