The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien has been on the road to meet with locals and discuss state government issues face-to-face.
Mr O’Brien recently met with constituents across Leongatha, Korumburra and Kongwak to discuss and see first-hand the issues impacting our community.
“As always, it was great to sit down with locals and chat face-to-face about their concerns,” Mr O’Brien said.
“I’ve held pop-up listening posts on Saturday mornings in Leongatha and Korumburra the last few weekends, but these mobile office appointments are a great opportunity for one-on-one meetings with constituents.
“For some these meetings provide an opportunity to seek help on specific state government related concerns that are impacting their lives, while for others it is just an opportunity to sit down and chat with their local MP about the broader issues at play.
“Issues raised included road maintenance, education programs, public transport, police presence, hoon driving, planning and the cost of living crisis.
“I have already begun following these matters up where needed with the relevant Ministers.”
Mr O’Brien will be continuing to take meetings in towns across the Gippsland South electorate throughout the year.
“I am on the road all the time and will also continue to host listening posts, but for my formal mobile office visits I will be contacting residents by post to invite them to meet with me face-to-face when I am in their area.
“Alternatively, constituents are always welcome to email me at danny.obrien@parliament.vic.gov.au to ask for help with state government related matters or even just share their opinions with me.”
