The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien is thanking the local
community for its generous support of A Better Life For Foster Kids following the
recent ram raid in Sale that destroyed much of its stock of Christmas presents.
Mr O’Brien said the community response has been overwhelming, with donated toys
handed over last week to help replace what was lost.
“It is inspiring to see so many people step up to support children in need, especially
after such a devastating setback,” Mr O’Brien said.

“The way our community has come together to support these children has been fantastic.
“It’s a real example of local people looking out for one another at a time when it’s needed most.”
Building on this community spirit, A Better Life For Foster Kids is now turning its attention to Gippsland’s Biggest PJ Day on Friday 12th September.
The event is the charity’s largest fundraiser of the year and also aims to raise awareness about the needs of children in out-of-home care.
Mr O’Brien encouraged local schools, businesses and community groups to get involved if they can.
Those who want to take part can register at www.abetterlifeforfosterkids.org.au.
“Any support makes a difference, whether it’s donating toys, joining PJ Day, or
simply helping spread the word, our community can help make life a little brighter for
children in care.”
