Walsh addresses business breakfast in support of O'Brien campaign

Leader of The Nationals, Peter Walsh, was in Leongatha last week to address a business breakfast as part of the campaign for Nationals candidate for Gippsland South, Danny O'Brien.

A group of local business and community leaders and party supporters attended the breakfast at McCartin's Hotel.

Mr O'Brien said he was proud to have Mr Walsh in town to support his campaign and to hear directly from local business people.

"We ran an interesting exercise where Peter asked everyone to nominate one thing they would do if they were Premier for a day. The issues raised closely reflected those that I've been hearing about as I campaign for the coming by-election - road funding, rebuilding our schools, support for disability services, more jobs and improved health services and the importance of government stability.

"We always listen to our communities and this was another way we can do that and ensure we give them a strong voice in State Parliament."

Mr Walsh said The Nationals were a strong, united team and he was pleased to support Mr O'Brien's campaign.
