O’Brien inspects clinic works in progress
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien recently inspected the initial works on Yarram’s new integrated medical centre. Mr O’Brien was shown plans for the building and the foundations by Yarram District Health Service CEO Colleen Boag.
Mr O’Brien said it was great to see the new centre taking shape.
“I was proud to have played a part in helping secure a $4 million grant from the state government for this project.
“I’m sure it’s played a role in the recent recruitment of new GPs for the town because they see in future they will have a wonderful facility to operate out of.”
The new centre will house the GP clinic and other primary health care and ancillary services.
“It’s great to see work is well underway and I look forward to seeing the project being finished as quickly as possible.”
