O'Brien hands over nappies

The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien, was delighted to be able to handover more than 400 nappies of various sizes to Uniting Care this week.

Mr O’Brien collected the nappies as a drop-off point for the Nappy Collective Giving Project.

“I am overwhelmed at the generosity shown by locals, particularly in the lead up to the festive season.

“We were hoping to be able to collect nappies people had left over as their young ones had grown out of them, but many people actually dropped off complete unopened packets."

Uniting Care will pass the nappies on to families in need to help ease the burden during the holiday period.

Mr O’Brien said he will continue to be a participant in the Nappy Collective Giving Project and that the next collection will take place in May next year.
