O'Brien calls for unused nappy donations 2018
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien, is again participating in the Nappy Collective Giving Project and encouraging locals to donate unused disposable nappies.
Mr O’Brien said the Nappy Collective Project aims to collect hundreds of thousands of leftover nappies from official drop points across Australia.
“This initiative runs twice a year in May and October and I am always astounded at the generosity of our locals.
“I’m more than happy for my office to be an official drop point and look forward to handing over donations in the coming months.”
To date over 2 million nappies have been collected since the commencement of the project in 2013.
Mr O’Brien said the unused nappies collected through his office will be distributed to local organisations that support victims of domestic violence and young mothers in need.
Mr O’Brien’s office, located at 54B Cunninghame Street in Sale, is a registered collection point for unused nappy donations with donations being accepted from now until the end of May 2018.
