Leongatha Men’s Shed celebrates grant
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien, has congratulated the Leongatha Men’s Shed which has been successful in the latest round of State Government men’s shed grants.
Leongatha Men’s Shed has been awarded $60,000 to build a new shed at the Leongatha Recreation Reserve to cater for its growing needs.
Mr O’Brien said he was proud to support the Men’s Shed’s application and was excited that it had been successful.
“Like all our Men’s Sheds the Leongatha group plays an important role in giving men an outlet to socialise, learn or hone their skills and produce goods for the local community.
“The Leongatha group plays an important role in reducing isolation and encouraging men to get out the house and socialise.
“I congratulate Max Wood and his team for their success and look forward to seeing the new shed being built soon.”
