Sign up to stop Loch Sport erosion

"The people of Gippsland South are being encouraged to put their name to petition that calls for funding to address foreshore erosion at Loch Sport."

The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien, has launched a petition for funding to address foreshore erosion at Loch Sport.

I am calling on locals to get behind a campaign to secure significant funding to battle the advance of erosion along the Loch Sport foreshore of Lake Victoria.

A number of research papers and reports have been commissioned by the state government in the past with the most recent unsurprisingly confirming that immediate action is needed to protect public and private property.

This petition of residents in Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Assembly the continuing advance of erosion along the Loch Sport township foreshore of Lake Victoria and that research has been concluded outlining solutions, including the installation of groynes that would protect public and private property.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Assembly to call on the State Government to provide funding urgently to address the situation.
