O'Brien on the road and here to help
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien, took his office on the road on Monday to meet with local residents in Gormandale, Rosedale and Nambrok.
It was Mr O’Brien’s monthly “mobile electorate office” visit, conducted throughout the electorate.
“I often get feedback that people wouldn’t have thought to ask for my help if they hadn’t received a letter from my office letting them know I was visiting their town.
“These visits give constituents a chance to raise state government issues face-to-face with me without the hassle of traveling to my offices in Sale or Leongatha.
“Monday’s meetings covered topics ranging from bushfire preparedness, to public transport, irrigation and local health services.
“It’s important that people know that they can call my office anytime they need assistance with a State matter.
“I am always willing to arrange appointments at locations that best suit constituents, but these mobile offices give me a chance to directly engage in a local setting.”
Mr O’Brien thanked the Gormandale Community House, Rosedale Bakery and the Nambrok Hall and Recreation Reserve Committee for their hospitality and allowing him to set up his office in their venues.
