Nominations sought for Rural Women’s Award
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien is urging Gippsland women to nominate for the 2019 Victorian AgriFutures™ Rural Women’s Award.
“We have many wonderful women active in agriculture and the rural sector in Gippsland. They contribute so much to our communities and I’m sure there are many with good ideas they could put such an award towards developing.”
The AgriFutures™ Rural Women’s Award is open to women involved in rural and regional industries, businesses and communities with the winner receiving a $10,000 bursary for innovative ideas and projects as well as access to professional development opportunities and alumni networks.
Applicants will be shortlisted based on their commitment to the future sustainability of primary industries, their potential to achieve and deliver benefits to their industry, and their ability to provide leadership and knowledge within the wider community.
Applications close on 31 October 2018.
