Youth Young leaders Leaders Sport Community Clubs Volunteers Gippsland South Gippsland East The Nationals Awards
Nominate an exceptional young leader
Is there a young person in your community that is inspiring others, providing leadership at your club or volunteering their time for the benefit of others?
If the answer is yes, The Nationals Member for Gippsland South Danny O’Brien encourages you to nominate them for the Victorian Young Achiever Awards for 2017.
Mr O’Brien said the awards recognised the achievements of young people who had worked to provide a service, program or project for young people that had resulted in positive, youth-led changes in a local community.
“It gives me great pleasure to call for nominations for the Victorian Young Achiever Awards for 2017," Mr O’Brien said.
"I encourage everyone to use this as a chance to build our young people up and encourage them in their passions and pursuits.”
Mr O’Brien said it was particularly important for young people from our regional and rural areas to apply.
“There are so many outstanding young role models in our rural communities who are, by example, encouraging their peers to develop leadership and life skills with a sense of pride and self-confidence,” Mr O’Brien said.
“If people know of a local young person who is motivating young Australians in their chosen field of endeavour, then encouraging them to nominate for the awards is a tremendous way of highlighting their achievements.”
Mr O’Brien said further information could be found at www.awardsaustralia.com/young-achiever-awards/vic or by connecting with the Young Achiever Awards on your preferred social media platform.
Nominations opened on August 30 and close on December 1. Nominees must be under 29 years of age as at December 31, 2016.
