Korumburra and district gets it’s say
Korumburra and district residents including those at Kongwak and Arawata had their chance to have a say when The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien hosted his most recent mobile office visit this week.
Mr O’Brien conducted a series of meetings with constituents on a range of topics.
“This latest visit was part of my ongoing series of mobile office visits, where I give everyone in the electorate a chance to have their say on issues that matter to them.
“I firmly believe that being a good local member requires me to be available in your home town, not just sitting in my office.
“It was pleasing to have around 15 constituent meetings in Korumburra, Kongwak and Arawata ranging from the very serious to a quiet chat under the trees at the Arawata Hall.”
Mr O’Brien said issues raised included local roads, agricultural issues, planning, local business concerns, renewable energy and control of weeds on farm land.
“There’s a number of these issues that I’m now taking up with the relevant Ministers in the Andrew Labor Government and some other conversations that I’ll feed into our Nationals policy process.
“It’s always great to be out and about to hear the views of my constituents on the ground and in their home communities.
“Thanks Kelly’s Bakery, Kongwak and Arawata Hall’s for hosting us and special thanks to the friendly staff at Kelly’s Bakery who sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me and presented me with a delicious birthday cake.”
