Foster RSL to receive an upgrade

The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O’Brien is delighted that Foster RSL has secured a share in $1.4 million announced by the state government to fund projects that support veterans.

As one of 84 successful grant applications under the Veterans Minor Capital Works Grant Program, Foster RSL will receive $15,000 to upgrade its clubrooms.

“This is wonderful news that represents the hard work of our wonderful Foster RSL committee, led by President Bruce Lester,” Mr O’Brien said.

“The Foster RSL clubrooms are a valuable asset to the community and this money will go a long way toward improving them for everyone’s enjoyment.”

Mr O’Brien said it was extra cause for celebration, with the Foster RSL Sub-Branch also celebrating its centenary this year.

The grants were made available for projects which support building and facility improvements for not-for-profit organisations delivering services to veterans and their families.
